I agree. Sweet condensed milk is super versatile. I use it as a sweeter in most desserts. It adds a richness that sugar alone can’t achieve. I personally think maple syrup is kinda gross too, always have, even when I was a kid. It’s either a thick, artificially flavored corn syrup or a hardly sweet, chemical-reminiscent flavored runny liquid. I’ve had the “real” stuff, no thanks. I’ve never appreciated how it’s forced onto pancakes. Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream with fruit/jam are also vastly superior.
